Here's the latest on the museum construction process:
The construction team has been hard at work bringing the Children’s Museum of Rock County to life!
While the project is currently running about three weeks behind schedule, crews are making steady progress and working diligently to get back on track. Over the past two months, the first-floor concrete has been poured, and the precast wall slabs for the new addition are now in place. Additionally, the large arched shape windows in the historic bank building are being replaced to ensure the building is efficient and meets current safety standards.
In the coming weeks, the second-floor and roof concrete slabs will be poured, and by early March, the roof installation will begin — bringing the building close to being fully weathertight.
Once enclosed, crews will shift their focus to the exciting interior work that will transform the space into the joyful museum our community has been waiting for.
